About AppBoard

Built for creators who ship.

AppBoard is a product discovery platform where creators launch, rank, and grow their software through community engagement and a reputation system that rewards consistent shipping and support.

Mission

Give every product a fair shot.

AppBoard exists to surface great software regardless of who built it. No gatekeepers, no pay-to-rank, no invite-only hunters. Just products, votes, and the community's honest opinion.

How it works

Ship, vote, repeat.

Creators submit their product in under 5 minutes — paste a URL and AI prefills the rest. After a quick publishing check it goes live on the leaderboard. The community engages — votes, saves, follows, reviews — and that shapes each product's score. Your own reputation, earned by supporting other products, follows you across everything you ship.

Reputation system

Reward creators, not just launches.

Reputation is earned by participating — upvoting, commenting, reviewing, following, and favoriting other products (each capped daily), not by racking up votes on your own. It's cumulative — it grows with every contribution, shows on your profile, and adds a small bounded bonus to your products' ranking, signalling consistent value over time rather than a single viral moment.

Who it's for

Creators and small teams.

AppBoard is built for developers, designers, and solo founders who ship software and want real feedback from a community that understands what they're building.

Ranking

Merit-based, recency-weighted.

Products are ranked by a Points-Based Score (PBS) that blends real community signals — recent upvotes, saves, follows, ratings and click-throughs — with a small, bounded creator-reputation bonus. Recent activity counts for more and dormant products gently fade, while time-windowed views (today, this week, this month, all time) give every launch a fair window to climb. No single signal can dominate.

Promotion

Paid visibility, never paid ranking.

Promoted placements give products extra visibility on the home page and leaderboard, always labelled as sponsored. Promotion never inflates a product's organic score — the two are strictly separate. Start one anytime from your product's analytics page.
