About 3D Converter

3D Converter is a free online 3D model converter and viewer that runs in your browser. Open a model, pick an output format, and see what carries through before you download. Common mesh and scene formats — STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, FBX, 3DS, GLB, glTF, DAE and RBXM — are converted locally, so the model is parsed on your device instead of being uploaded, and no account is needed. Local models can be up to 100 MB.

Converting a 3D file is more than changing its extension, so the tool shows what each route keeps and what it loses: materials, textures, hierarchy, animation, units and axes. OBJ and glTF packages can be loaded together with their MTL, BIN and image files. After export, the output is opened again and checked, and a before-and-after report compares dimensions, triangles, objects, materials, textures, units and axis data.

The built-in 3D viewer lets you rotate the model, switch between solid and wireframe or perspective and orthographic views, and read dimensions and mesh statistics. STEP and IGES CAD files convert through an optional cloud path for verified accounts. The free plan covers unlimited local conversion; Pro ($9.9/month) adds more cloud CAD credits and history.
