About SearchX
SearchX is an AI powered product search engine for e-commerce stores. It replaces the default search of OpenCart, WooCommerce and any custom storefront with instant, typo tolerant, semantic search that returns the right product in under 100ms.
WHO IT IS FOR
Store owners and agencies running catalogs of 500 to 50,000 products who lose sales to a search box that returns "no results" for "nike air max 90 white" because one word is misspelled or the customer used a synonym. That is 95% of online stores. They cannot justify Algolia pricing and do not need enterprise complexity. SearchX is built for exactly that segment.
WHAT IT DOES
- Search as you type with product previews (image, price, stock) in the dropdown
- Typo tolerance with configurable edit distance and keyboard proximity awareness
- Hybrid semantic + keyword search. You set the ratio from pure keyword to pure vector.
- Synonym groups (visual editor or CSV bulk import) so "sofa", "couch" and "settee" match
- Faceted filtering on brand, category, price range, color, size, availability plus any custom attribute
- Ranking rules you can reorder. Boost new arrivals, high margin items or whatever matters to you.
- Product showcase, suggested links and search chips in the empty search state for merchandising
- Multi language out of the box (English, Greek, 50+ languages via locale files)
- Analytics: total searches, zero result queries, click through rate, most clicked products. Zero result queries are your synonym and catalog gaps served on a plate.
- Playground with shareable links to test ranking and demo to clients without dashboard access
HOW IT INTEGRATES
Point SearchX at your existing Google Merchant, Facebook Catalog or Skroutz XML feed. Products import and reindex on a schedule. Drop one script tag on your storefront, mount the search bar and results page, and you are live. Cart and wishlist actions fire browser events so they plug into any platform. Custom CSS variables and locale files handle branding. A REST API and event tracking API are available for deeper work. Built on Meilisearch, so the engine is battle tested and the latency is real, not marketing.
PRICING
Flat €49 per store per month or €490 per year. No tiers, no per query billing, no surprise invoices when traffic spikes. 14 day free trial with the full product and no credit card. Agencies and partners can join the referral program and earn 20% recurring commission on every referred store, for as long as the store stays.
COMPARED TO ALTERNATIVES
Algolia, Doofinder, Searchanise and Findbar either price by query volume, bundle features most small stores never touch, or both. SearchX does one thing well at a price a €2,000/month revenue store can afford, and sets up in minutes instead of a week of developer time.
WHY WE BUILT IT
We are a software house in Athens that has built AI systems for conversational platforms with hundreds of engineers. We watched small stores in Greece pay for search plugins that still failed on basic queries and built SearchX for them first. It now runs on live stores in Greece and abroad. See it in action on pharme.gr, a Greek online pharmacy with thousands of SKUs.
