About GearDex

GearDex keeps a full record of every camera, lens, light, filter and drone you own: serial numbers, photos, purchase price, current value, condition, where it lives and the receipts that go with it. Add gear by typing a sentence or dropping in a CSV, then see what your kit is worth today and which records are missing a serial or receipt.

When a job comes in, plan the shoot with call sheets, locations, weather and sun times, and pack from the gear you actually own. Print QR labels, scan items out to a second shooter or a friend, and see who has what and when it's due back. Iris, the built-in AI assistant, answers questions about your kit and checks lens and filter fit, and it never changes a record without your OK.

GearDex also runs the client side: a photography website, client galleries, a client CRM, and on Studio, online booking and invoices paid through your own payment link.

Starter is free for 25 items, Pro is $39 a year and Studio is $179 a year. It runs on the web, on Mac (1.3.0, Apple Silicon and Intel) and on Windows (1.2.0). Every plan can export your data.
