About Orkas

Orkas is an MIT-licensed, local-first desktop AI workspace for Mac and Windows. Give Commander a project brief and let it coordinate specialist agents for research, code changes, documents, presentations and media work in one place.

Keep project context and local files together, use available browser and terminal tools, and create visual assets with the integrated ImageStudio and VideoStudio. Choose supported model providers with your own API keys, compatible local models, or Orkas-managed models.

The core app is free. Local-first describes the default workspace data handling; requests to external providers and optional cloud services may send data outside the device and incur separate costs.
